Student´s Training at CPI O Cruce. The first companies

The students’ training is practically finished at CPI O Cruce, and three companies have already started their activity: the students have defined their activity, their Canvas are very advanced, they have designed their corporate image and even made prototypes of their products. One more company is in the start-up phase, having already defined its scope; while a fifth company is still in a more initial phase, still reflecting on the activity to be developed.

The companies created are:

  • CCD Upcycling: manufacture and sale of accessories (keyrings, fridge magnets…) made from recycled polystyrene.
  • Mags e-Cosmetics: manufacture and sale of cosmetics (soap, lip balm…) made from recycled oil from the school cafeteria.
  • Cruce Physics Toys: production and sale of scientific toy kits mostly made from recycled materials.

During May, the 4th grade students when to the bank to have a meeting with the staff and to open an account. After that, they explain to the 3rd grade students the process (they couldn’t all go because of COVID restrictions).

All the companies have completed the students training activities, the business model canvas and all of them have some dissemination platform (Instagram profiles and web pages). Almost all of them have a company catalogue (4 out of 5) and three of them have already open a bank account for the company.

Nowadays, they are working more intensely on defining the companies’ organization, after realizing that at this moment this is their weakest area.

The development of the project is being carried out according to the planning envisaged by the center. Students are motivated and progressing at a good pace.
